My friend just got a 73 Mach 1 from his dad (free, they are going to rebuild it)... has a 302 in it which we know doesn't produce much HP that year... so he was talking to his dad about replacing the engine, and his dad called around to a few parts dealers and a few car buddies of his and they reccomended something for him. This something had the possibility of bringing up to 300 or so HP. Problem is I can't remember what this something was called! They said that it was mostelly bolt on, and it was something like a Raddler or a Tumbler or something crazy like that (it's name was a few words). Anyone have any idea what i'm talking about?
Blower? Turbo? Paxton? Cleveland? SOHC motor? Boss 302? Just throwing stuff out there to see if it sticks.
Shaker! That was it...or at least one of the words After some googleing it looks like some induction system... I don't see how that could raise HP by THAT much... unless 73 302's were getting better MPG because they were starved of air by Ford
Nope, a shaker wont give you any rediculous HP gains. Its just there for cool factor. I was gonna guess again with "stroker" though, thats why I checked back with this thread lol. AC
