Went to Bryant's shop today, the Maverick been sitting there for a few weeks, just haven't had a time to start work on the beast...
I will be doing the September race. I have a lot to do as always, but I'm gonna try to get the most important things done. Definitely want to do the 160mph class which is a big jump. Don't think with 350hp I'll make it so the supercharger and fuel injection have to go in. Need to make changes to the aerodynamics. Suspension should be the easiest part and brakes in the front will need upgrading.

I hope Bryant will help me as always, I will be spending a lot of time at Current Auto Performance :)

wow.. that is a big jump!

I'm betting you'd be surprised what 350 horses can do in such a light car.. but a little more than 400 horsies will easily get it done. It should go without saying.. but if you want to get up to speed a little quicker while running with more power margin.. of course more power is always better.

I'd be curious to know what other safety equipment is needed/how much more stringent the rules become at that level over the 140 class you participated in last year. Looking forward to seeing the newest buildup for that race. (y)

I gotta get cracking on working on the maverick...
got to finalize a place where I can work on the maverick...
still dealing with a few personal stuff that should be finalized in the next couple of weeks (house and tax stuff, what else right?)...

I need to get started on the fuel system....
    then do the EFI stuff....
    after that the supercharger....

don't think it's all that hard but I'm being a wuss and hesitant to get started...

Wow Mo! The 160 mph class....................means your tech speed will be over 170 mph.........................I think it could be time to talk about a rear wing...........................http://scottrodfab.com/maverick.html#Maverick_trunk_hatch

I'm getting some interior aluminum panels for the Maverick and Scott mentioned he was working on a full size wing..............might be worth looking into.
