So I need to have the FMX rebuilt... When I first bought the car and had it checked out I was told the tranny didn't have much life left. I do not do this work myself so I have to rely on what the mechanics say. I was contemplating swapping it out for a c4 or c6 but was told the FMX was the only thing compatible (or that just plain made sense) for the 351w motor in it. I have a pro-matic shifter in it that I have had to replace the cable for. I was told there was a shift kit in it but I'm not sure. It always gets stuck in gears... mainly starting and staying in 2nd. Will a rebuild solve all of my shifting problems? Will a new shift kit enable me to use the ratchet shifter without tearing up the tranny?

Ditch that hog, save at least 40Lb and get a C4, there no reason one can't be used...

Almost no one runs a FMX these days...

I'll second Krazy Comet........get the TCI s streetfighter and s streetfighter converter..stick with the small bellhousing and 157 tooth FW...takes up less room for header clearance
