Hi , I'm Andy (Bowsawkid) from Phoenix 62 yrs. old , retired Navy reserve Senior Chief AS (Aviation Support Equipment Mechanic) and a gas/diesel mechanic in my civilian career,(also retired on disability)heavy mechanic work took it's toll on my back, I have 2/3 of an acre in Phoenix with 18 vehicles most of which are for sale, but I am fixing them up a little at a time, I have a 73 Comet V-8 coupe that has non-power drum brakes and since disc conversion kits are over $1000 bucks I went to Ecology Auto Wrecking self-serve and snagged the spindles, rotors& calipers for $61 per side off a 79 Versaille but learned from this forum that the ball joints are a little different so I'm going back and getting the lower control arms for $10 bucks each. Actually the drum brakes work perfect but everone that wants to buy it wants discs so I'm converting it to make it more saleable, but I'm not sure about putting a power booster on it, it doesn't look like thers enough room between the firewall and the spring tower, I am sure some one on this forum knows for sure, I am going to move 800 miles back to Sacramento and can't take all these vehicles with Me, even though I love this Comet bought new in Phoenix, 100K mi., my 1950 Dodge Power Wagon also bought new in Phoenix w/ 35k ($400) and my 44 chevy ton and a half truck bought new in Phoenix w/34k (freebee) kinda have priority, if anyone has info on the power booster let Me know, Thanks

You don't need the lower control arms. You just need the correct tie rod ends.

I have also "heard" that the lower ball joint/control arm was different for the Versailes, but I had a set of disc brakes off of a Versailes and the Maverick lower control arm was just fine.

You really don't need power brakes on a Maverick. I have two Mavericks with power disc brakes, so I speak with experience.
