I just replaced all the bushings and shackles, but I have aftermarket springs(4leaf) I got from JCWhitney a few years back. I read somewhere in the forums that the rear eye was slightly larger than stock, turns out to true!(y) the shackle bushings fit normal in the chassis so I got the right ones, but there's a little slop in the leaf eye and bushing. I tightened them down and it helped some but a bigger bushing would work better. My question is; does anyone know what size the bushing needs to be? and/or what car might have the same size bushig so I can buy some. thanks

stock should be 1" diameter. there is a larger mustang bushing, 1 3/8".

3/8 is to much bigger, if stock is 1" it's probably 1 1/8". My dad has some extra ones for his '67 mustang but they're way bigger.

The JCW leaf spring-eyes should be the same size as stock. If they're not, something is wrong.

thanks for the link, there was some helpful stuff there. I'll probably just stick with what I got for now. even with it a lil loose it handles way better than with the old bushings.
