Some burning questions about this setup:

    * Does this system work with a steering column that has the column shifter for an automatic?
    * Does this work for all years of Mavericks/Comets?

The answer should be yes and yes.

What are the details on the pump and bracket? I can add a PS bracket to my March setup, but it only works with certain pumps.

I like what I see! I have been holding out frm buying the Boregsen kit, waiting for ur report on this setup. I am glad I did. I am also going to the NSRA North and will ask some questions "If I can think of any". U have pretty much summed it up. I won't have to worry abt trying to squeeze that hvy replacement str. box down by the MS and headers; nor acquire a manual drag link/pit arm to make it work correctly. Also, I have a roar/hum frm my ps pump that I have not been able to get rid of even after having the pump rebuilt. The price is kind of steep, but when compared the OE type upgrade and the drag link/pit arm purchase -- I believe it's the better value.
Does it come w/ instructions? Something the prior mentioned unit does'nt have. I will most likely order at the NSRA if they are taking orders.
Thanks for the report and the effort to get them involved...:thumbs2:
PS. No way I wud consider giving up my pwr steering for manual.

Matt, the brackets are custom made and the pump is GM but I believe it may be modified, I would have to check with Unisteer.

I still think I want manual steering.. I looked on there website and if the pricing is the same as a cougar then a manual setup should be $1049 I'm going to give them a call later today...

Anyword on this? I would be interested in a manual rack for sure as steering is one of my last big gripes with the car (other than the colour :)).

How much differencei n steering effort w/ man rack vs. stock effort?
If I go w/ Unisteer they will probably only offer pwr version - which is fine w/ me.

Sounds to me, like they said they would only be offering a power rack?

That is right!! If you want a manual rack you are out of luck.

I think we're lucky they're putting out a power unit to begin with.

Oh well, I saw that on most other set ups they offer a manual as an opption... I wonder what is so different on a manual ?
