I had the cracks (7) in my dash "plastic welded". Never had anything like this done before. Seems very strong. So far I am pleased. Still requires a little sanding and paint. FYI John
Great way to save a broken part ............... The weld if done right will be stronger than the original material.
Never saw that before - what kind of tool do they use to apply the fix? Something like melting material into the crack with a heat gun?
Depending on the type of plastic, I've seen it done by dissolving scrap pieces of the same plastic in acetone, then applying the slurry at the bottom, with a popsicle stick or puddy knife.

That was why I was asking about the tool. Now I see no high dollar investment that would prevent us from taking a crack at doing this kind of repair ourselves
