I found out the rust the P.O. Said was present is a lot worse than he lead on. I am now going to have to get the car media blasted so I can find the rest of the creative bondo sites.

I have sorta that same problem, went for an extended ride the other night and had very little heat, it really won't get warm enough to heat the car up, it was 39 degrees outside, just a bit nippy.:drive::chirp:

okay got seats in today but have to swap tracks (drivers to passenger passenger to driver) to make them fit right I think

and was going to try for senjose but glad I didnt wheels were ready to fall off since I didnt have any washers holding them on so I had to fix that
I have a clunk coming from the front end not exactly sure what that is yet so Ill have to track that down and get it fixed
I found out I need an alignment done since I found out mine is horribly out of adjustment when I took it for a drive today.

also started having an issue with the shifter not working properly :cussing: put it in new maybe two years ago and havent had 5 miles on the car since I had it installed and now its messed up. so getting a new shifter in the next couple of months
also found out I have a bad exhaust leak coming from my header gasket

but all in all a decent day of finally getting to drive my car after 5 years of messing with it:thumbs2:
even left a HUGE burn out line down my buddies block. I had to drive back by to check it out and was 4 houses long before I had to let off when it started getting squirly on me :drive::character0182::yikes::woohoo1:

If you've got a smart phone, download this app and use it to set the camber/caster................it really works.

    I have used it on my Maverick and a friends 08 Mustang...........and pretty cheap...........just a little time..............IMHO

I have an Android so I guess I can't try it. I find it hard to believe it would be as accurrate as my caster/camber gauge. Would be fun to play with though...

When we set the front end on my friends Mustang it took about an 1-1/2 hours because we did it twice. He took it to a line-up shop a couple of days later and it was within 1/2 degree of Caster and almost dead on Camber.
I'd say that's pretty good for a free App on the iPhone and a couple of back yard mechanics.......................IMHO

Spent most of the late afternoon & evening singing the 42 year old wiring harness blues... Wound up stripping most of the plastic wrap as much of it was unraveling and in the area under the washer fluid tank where the wrap was good, the harness was apparently installed with a twist... Anyway a couple of the mounting tabs were waving in the breeze with no chance of aligning, plus couple more were broken, also the windshield washer line was collapsed inside the harness so I'm replacing that as well... Should be able to finish it and the alternator harness I'm building tomorrow...

Thoroughly washed the exterior and cleaned the windows! Only thing left on the exterior is shining up all the chrome with some Mothers. I'll have to grab a picture in the daylight, she sure looks shiny now after several long drives in the rain!

We removed the factory bench seat that wouldn't clear the Super shifter on my top loader and started the installation of '87 Mustang bucket seats. We have the driver's seat pretty much installed and tomorrow I'll get the passenger seat in. I used the tracks from the bench on the driver's seat and the passenger's seat will be stationary. We also installed the Monte Carlo bar that I bought from Bob Pagels' Chassis Connection quite a while ago.
