    Well....
Started soaking the yoke in the parts washer.
Drilled a hole and welded a drain plug into the rear.
    Painted the rear.
Scrubbed the yoke, cleaned it and painted it.
Removed the leaf springs and shackles.
Made a new section of brake line that goes from the hard line to the rubber line at the rear.
    Removed the shocks.
    Painted the traction bars.
Ordered brake wheel cylinders, t-bolts, axle bearing retainers and a pinion bearing retainer.
Started making new back plate spacers for the rear.
Formulated a plan to rebuild the differential.

Stood back in amazement at how easy everything seemed to flow today!
Grabbed a beer, patted her on the rear and said "Don't worry sweetie, you'll be ready by spring"!

    Ah, the anticipation!!!!

After 8 or 10 months, I finally ran the engine again today!!! After a Rod and Custom front suspension swap, rewiring, adding nitrous, etc.

Got the same seats in my 74 comet & dads 72 chevelle.. I really do like them but they are a bit stuff if you do a lot of driving, 45 mins and you strut to think about some real nice comfy buckets... I'm debating going back to a set of old highbacks just for the looks & maybe comfort? Not sure cause my cats never had seats when I got them.
You will be happy with them though

All I managed to do today was put my cam in/ torque a few things.. Went to install timing cover and realized summit sent me the wrong ARP timing cover bolt set, new ones are on the way in the morning and then the rest of the engine can go together get dropped in and time to build headers and let this beast live!

I have only sat in them for now. I will drive soon. When you installed your seat brackets what degree/angle did you lay back. The old seats were nice but my son is 6' 5" and was cramped up. With the new seats I was able to move back 3" and lower 2"

I actually put full mustang floor pans in mine so it's a lot diffrnt of a floor layout at first my seats were nice and high I like the fact I could really see the road but when racing my helmet hit the headliner and had to lower it quite a lot more.. So watch out for that if you race. Honestly I didn't really take measurements of anything besides making sure both were in the same spot..it was more of a sit, cut weld & adjust - repeat. I modified the brackets that come with the seats as well, cut them and welded some L angled steel I had around, drilled a hole and welded the bolt in it.. So all I do is undo the nut under the seat and pop em up, literally 5mins to remove the seats now.

So all I'm trying to say is... Make it for yourself, where your comfy & make sure that it was centered because the lumbar support gets real close to the door.

Do you have pictures? As you may know, I will be removing my entire floor and replacing with a full chassis and I will have to redo the foor, I was thinking of the idea of picking up a mustang floor pan, and placing in, or if I should do a custom floor. Curious as to what yours looks like.

Why would you consider anything else besides a complete aluminum interior??? Aren't you building a race car?
