i went with the ezefi retrofit with mpfi. but same pcm as there throttle body efi. worked well i would go with there 2.0
i did a 98 explorer donar swap. and redrilled the backing plates. worked awesome... donar had brand new brakes / calipers, roters and paid $50.00
if using stock electronics i would stick to the eec4 and not eec5. better yet ditch the oem. i went with a fast ezefi retro..
or go fitech or...
a failing starter can have these issues. bad brushes in the starter. bad connections to the starter / bad grounding.
they make a wrench for the ring, i picked one up. works awesome. i replaced mine once just laying on the ground, no, jack, tire off, or anything...
