    I am in the beginning stages of rebuilding my Maverick and want to add ac, Any suggestions on getting started? IE: ac kit?

    YEP ! Its an easy installation if you go with an aftermarket unit such as VINTAGE AIR .. I have these in six cars and they work great and weren't a hassle to install . Just my take on it
    We found a GEN 11 works great .

    I second the switch to Vintage Air for a non-AC car.
    To try and change over to a factory setup is a big project and you would need a donor car to get all the needed parts including the proper dash and heater box.
