    Yes, in 1971, the Mustang was a pretty large and heavy for a muscle car. The Maverick would have been a very good choice for the planned and scrapped Boss 302 for 1971.

    I'm looking at the fender / hood lines and it seems that a whole lot more room was made in the engine bay. Wonder if any other pictures survive?
