Got my grandmas old car been in the family since new. I plan on rebuilding trying to keep all original as it currently is as far as my knowledge. It's a Manual someone said that was rare same with bucket seats and other things. It needs work lots of it. But I'm new to this and want to do it all myself. Not rich cant afford to pay a auto body shop California takes all my money lol. I can do engine work no problem but new to fords. It still has original hoses.
Welcome, from Portland OR. Lots to learn....this is my first Ford that is not an inline 4.9. Tons of info in here....you can browse for days and still only scratch the surface.
Your car appears to be a 73 Grabber as it has a spoiler in the rear, the vin tag will tell you. You have quite a job ahead of you but dont let it get to you look at it like it is a forest and only concern yourself with one tree at a time
I doubt you would find a reputable body shop willing to take on that task. As yellow 75 suggests, do one small project at a time. Try to get it running and driving. Whatever you do, do not totally dismantle the car unless you plan on parting it out. Welcome to the site from northeast Ohio and much luck with your project!!!
Next year production generally starts approx late Aug of previous year. For example a Sept '73 car should be a 1974 model but there have been exceptions. VIN number plus date on sticker will tell the tale. BTW Welcome.
Yea I believe it but I would rather do the job myself learn a new skill in the process and take my time. I will have to invest in some tools. Anyone know good videos on how to do the rust jobs right on an old car. Alot of iffy videos on how to I dont want the rust coming back
Yea but fields with high growing grass get wet theres not crazy rust floor boards appear to have none but will truly tell when I get to it.
