Assuming you mean actual engine parts and not accessories like alt, carb, fuel pump etc... It's heads, rocker arms, cam/lifters, timing chain & gears, front timing cover... Exhaust manifolds may work but depends on chassis, outlet is larger on most 351 manifolds... Also harmonic balancer and flywheel/flex plate are interchangeable but can depend on clutch size or transmission if automatic... BTW the firing order is different, but as long as correct plug wire order is used, the cams work in either engine...
Thanks we are putting together an expense list on the 351 swap to the 74 mav we already know the clearance issues on the shock towers and the new headers. but will the edelbrock intake fit the 351
Intakes are not interchangeable between the 302 and 351 due to the 351s' taller deck height which moves the heads further away from the crank center line. (351 intakes are wider)
Which "72" 351 are you talking about ? Windsor or Cleveland ? The heads are different on the intake side on the 72 351W also, these heads have 2 more bolts than the 302 heads had. The 351W heads will work on a 302, but not the other way around due to those extra holes in the 351W intake (the stock 16 bolt intake does not work with 302 heads ) The Cleveland ? Only thing that interchanges is the distributor cap & rotor, plus the carb, depending on the carb.
