351 Windsor motor not fitting

    I am machining my headers down , That flang that the tubes are welded to is too thick. so I am angleing mine to a 35 degree arch.

    Did you ever get headers installed? If so, what mods were made?

    What ever happened to the Headers

    Headers on the car about 4 mos. No mods, slide right in on drivers side; do have slight contact w/ pit-arm @ collector on tight left turn. My car had OE pwr. steering, manual steering may not have that issue - don't know.
    Passenger side slide in after swinging idler arm away from frame. Didn't have to lift engine from mounts. I have a lot of hoses to work around on both sides "heater, PS & AC " otherwise would have been easier on both sides to get job done.

    Here is a pic of my 351w to give you an idea of clearance, would have been better to cut the towers further down, had to hammer the headers a bit to get in and the plugs are a bit of a pain to get to.
