Ok guys and gals.. I stumbled across a set of 15x8 steelies from a late 60's gt
    15x8 5 on 4.5 backspace is 4"
I'm going to powder coat them stock.
I would like thoughts on it.
And tire suggestions. I don't want to use spacers ect. Maybe 50 and 60's .
    Thanks friends.

    I think you'll find those are 14" x 7".... I've never seen those wheels in 15".

I'm sure a mustang guy will eat em up.
I'm going to powder coat em anyways.
Maybe I'll just run 14's shoot.. foiled again!

They won't fit 74-up spindles either...center hole is too small

I have used 14" x 7" rims on my Maverick up until just last year with 245/60R14 on the rear and 195/70R14 on the front.

Don't force the wheel on spindle with lug nuts or you will have a heck of a time getting the wheel back off. I'm not talking from personal experience...but I was standing around when it happen.

I bought a car once, it had a flat on the left front. I brought a spare to replace it and we beat :smash: on the rim with the flat for over an hour before it came off.
found out someone had put a drum brake rim on a disc spindle...:slap:

Drum brake vs disc have same openings for same years, true '70-up hubs are larger than '69 & earlier.
    Includes drum & disc.

Well, I cleaned and painted up the gt rims. 14x6 5x4.5 set of 4. Their real 60's ford rims. Has ford stamp.
And are 6 inch bead to bead.
But, I'm going to go a diff route i think.
    New.
Steelies 15x7 15x8 with stainless ring and cap. And the max size tires with no spacers.
    Here's the newly painted rims 20210418_130523.jpg 20210418_132855.jpg 20210418_133122.jpg

Were the optional wheel for Fairlanes & non GT Torinos in '68 & '69. Were also chrome & rather rare body colored versions.

See Cobra link in my sig.

Well, sold them this morn. They are going on a 67 mustang. Guy was so excited he showed up at 7:00 am.
    I paid 120. Listed them 225. Sold for 170..
I'm glad to help him out...
Is anyone running 17s and 15s of the torq thrusts? Or the steel rally from jegs?I would love to see a picture of these on cars. Or would it just look bad?
