I need the turn signal switch assembly for a 71 Comet. Are they still available? I've been doing some research and it shows part number SM44F but it is no longer available anywhere that I can find. Help please!

I can pull one from a used column if interested.

I see that there are a lot of 73-77 switches for sale.

I take it the earlier 71, 72 switches are different and can't use them.

Any help would be much appreciated as my switch is toast

The Shee Mar SM44 turn signal assembly is no longer in production too my knowledge. They were only a 3 year run on a limited number of cars, some mustangs, mavericks and one or two other cars. So sad to say they were one of the more obvious choices to discontinue when you are trying to clear up space for new tooling...

So you either need too find an SM44 in stock or find a NOS ebay turn signal assembly. They usually run about $100-$200.. if you just need the turn signal cam you can use the link that Moneymaker posted.
