Hey Guys: I need an exhaust manifold for a '72 Maverick 200. Does anyone know for sure if a '67ish Mustang 200 manifold will work? The interchange is kind of funny- car-part.com says it's the same, but Kentucky Mustang says it's different but they don't know what the difference is. Obviously, early Mustang manifolds are available but (maybe?) Maverick manifolds are not available. Any help is much appreciated! Thanks!
All 200 manifolds will fit different years BUT differences are some have EGR valve ports, Air Pump fittings depending on original titled state and year of manufacture. . . Maverick applications typically may not still be listed - try Mustang or Fairmont applications. . . NOTE - Without Emission controls or With Emissions' https://www.npdlink.com/1965-1973-m...uP9QqN7U7z8zhXx7Bf-QUAW5PGfHfu4YaAvldEALw_wcB . hav efun
Ford lists D3BZ-9430-A (1973-part number) as replacing all these years, P is Maverick, B Fairlane, F Mustang, X Falcon, U Bronco. Listing 70/ includes through '72.
OK, I found a manifold (I think!). How about the bolt locks- does anyone know where I can source those? I only see them with bolt kits, and the kits are for earlier 200 engines. Any comments are welcome. Thanks, guys!
I bought a manifold from Classic Industries that supposedly fits a '72 Maverick 200, but unfortunately the pipe outlet is about 3/8" too small. (2.08" vs 2.45" measured to the outer edge of the bevel) and the donut doesn't want to seat properly. I think if I put it on it "might" seal but it's definitely not correct. Does anyone know where to buy a manifold with the proper size outlet? I appreciate your help, guys!
