76 front bucket seat stuck

I bought my daughter a 76 Maverick at auction recently and discovered the front bucket seat is stuck. I can not figure out how to get it to move at all. Does anyone have any tips or tricks? I know I'm new at trying to fix my own cars so any help would be appreciated.

 

Well without being able to actually see it in-person, it's nearly imposible to know what's wrong with it...

 

The

lever moves but the seat won't if that helps any. If not thank you anyway.

 

Are the seat tracks rusty?...

 

look for something wedged in the tracks.

 

The lever might not actually be releasing the seat. I would remove the seat and take a look on the underside.
