Anybody planning on attending this event at Atlanta Motor Speedway? Here is the link to check it out: http://fordsouth.com/index.html I would like to attend and would be interested in cruising up with anyone else who might be going as well. Richard
I plan on announcing a mini-meet ther for the Georgia Gang .... From what I have seen this is no longer an ALL-FORD show though ...
I found this on another website: Featuring separate General Motors - Ford - Chrysler pavilions and held at the beautiful Atlanta Motor Speedway May 4-5-6, 2007. One of the largest automotive displays of this kind ever in the Southeast. Covering almost 100 years of automotive history with lots of unique vehicles from the early years all the way to 2008 models. An interesting and fun weekend for all ages.
Well keep me in the loop. I live so close to GA I can throw rocks and hit it! And do sometimes just for fun! LOL! BTW, I lived briefly in the Atlanta Motor Speedway area from 92-95, actually worked so close to it you can hear the cars running on the track and several coworkers used to park at work and walk over to avoid the parking fees and traffic. Thanks! rk
Then, I'm in favor of finding another All-Ford show to do the mini-meet. Here's a couple: http://www.hemmings.com/calendar/?op=event_details&listing_id=18135 http://www.hemmings.com/calendar/?op=event_details&listing_id=18310 http://www.georgiaregionalmustangcl...ModuleID=2&CalendarItemID=1281&ShowCalendar=0 October 27, Savannah, GA 18th Annual Shelby, Mustang & all Ford Show located at Armstrong - Atlantic State University from 8am to 5pm Classes for any & all Ford powered vehicles, Low Country Boil Dinner served at 6pm Info: Raymond Hargroves (912) 667-5028; Mark Davis (912) 352-9229, mark68gtcs@aol.com; www.savannahmustangclub.com I'm sure there are more. I know of a couple in SC, NC, and TN as well. Berry College in Rome, Ga will have their all Ford show this year and the Ford Galaxie Club will be having their national show in conjunction with this year's Moonshiner's Festival in Dawsonville.
If it is Savannah, count me in for sure. That is about a 2 hour drive from where I am and easily done. rk
I've been to the Moonshine festival in Dawsonville. There was no moonshine, just a lot of Bill Elliot stuff.
Farmdog, then you didn't meet "popcorn sutton" he still makes and drinks moonshine, met him 2 years ago and he had a small booth with a small still and told about the "good ole' days" of white lightning, there's some nice cars there usually.
