Hey everyone, it's been a long time since I have posted here. During that time my 73 has been sitting around because I have been extremely busy. I work almost full time hours and I am a full time student. I even considered selling the whole project but I've decided to finish it out, but with a little bit different direction. So I called up Rod and Custom a couple of weeks ago and ordered a few new parts. I thought that I would share and see if you guys have any tips for when I install everything. A friend of mine (and very good welder) will be doing all of the welding for me. I'm pretty excited about this whole setup and I couldn't help but have a huge smile on my face when all of the parts got in I thought that I would share some pictures of everything. I upgraded just about everything in the kit (I think it was everything) to maximize the potential of a road race Maverick... These are some beautiful welds... Tubular A-Arms... The sway bar is quite a bit heavier/thicker than I expected for the basic one, I hope it's sufficient. 15:1 Manual Rack Double adjustable coilovers. These things are NICE, I am very impressed with the quality here. 500# spring rate springs but I may need to go a bit heavier. The brakes are the coolest part. Extremely light (huge) calipers 2 piece, 13" rotors And a mockup of the brakes
Rod & Custom is great to deal with. I spoke to Will and he was a big help. All of the parts look top notch and I am looking forward to getting this in some time next month. Shipping took no time at all for how much they had to send out. The in house parts were to my door in less than 3 days, everything else about 6 days. -Clint
Good lookin parts. One of these days ill install that kit. And get rid of the shock towers.............
Those are some great looking parts. I was going to build my own coil over MII cradle but could I ask what the R&C one set you back?
Man, they have a good welder! They better hang on to that guy. How much do they charge for the fabricated parts?
Very nice! I really want to do a Mustang II front on mine as well. The engine possibilities would be endless then. Figure I'll let frank get some miles on his first and see how he likes it before I make any definite decision.
