I got a "fix it" tickit for my broken mirror, I havent found a replacement yet. can anyone help? also passenger mirror is not a convex type (aka "objects appear closer" type) making it basically useless. Were they not using that kind in "70 yet or is mine not original?

I don't think they were making convex mirrors when they build our cars. I remember seeing the new mirrors at the start of the 80's.

In my body shop days , the people with that kind of mirror said to glue on a cut mirror face. You could probably find this info on the boss 302 registry. hope that helps:tiphat:

Any glass and mirror shop can fix this.

No Factory convex mirror on the passenger side of a Maverick

There is an eBay seller that offers stick-on replacement mirrors for Ford sports mirrors. All the heads on all sport mirrors are very close in size, so one listed for another Ford model should work.

I ended up using a round convex aftermarket stick-on lens on my passenger side mirror.... a bit ugly, but this car was my dd and I needed function.

If you will be repainting your car soon, moving the mirrors forward on the door helps, too, according to some folks here. I plan on doing that myself. Better angle to see them at, and I think they will blend better with the body lines when you are looking straight at the side of the car, too.

Some of the regular auto parts stores offer replacement mirror glass for many standard cars..... I know CarQuest, Napa and I believe Auto Zone does too.....

thanks guys! im I found one off the ebay link for under 10 bucks. even if it doesn't fit perfect it should be good enough to get the ticket signed off!

Next hard to find item: new plastic clip that holds the window to the track.(im sick of fixing it just to have it fall out after every other month!)
