Dash restoration

    I was thinking of taking balsa or foam
    Sand it to shape desired and fiberglass or carbon fiber.

    Welcome, mailman! Depending on your comfort with such things you can recover them as Constable did. Sand any curled up edges of cracks flat. Fill the cracks. People have used silicone sealer, Great Stuff foam, or bondo for that. Then wrap it with upholstery vinyl or leather. There are YouTube videos on it. Here's one:
