Well lets hope they dont choose the 2nd. the SIR schedule had no mention of anything on that day. Plus the PSCA race in Vegas the 7-9th might get in the way of somebody else. So lets do the 2nd. Even if there is a Big Buck race, a large Local maverick meet is priceless.

Don what do you think about putting the event in the MCG Newsletter? And the MCCI newletter too? Im not a member of either but figure it would be better if a member of one of them asked to have it included.

The next MCG Newsletter is the last week of September. It will not have a lot of notice, but I can put it in there.:)

Sometimes short notice is better for those of us that have short term memories. Give me too much time and I'm sure I can forget anything.

Wow...I just found this thread! Like alot of AZ guys it's too darn hot to be working on our cars. I have a small project to put together a cold air intake setup together but I don't feel like getting out in the hot garage!!! I still drive my car once each weekend to keep everything in good shape though. Ryan, better let me decide the day for the next meet...ha ha ...it will rain for sure if you do...:rofl2: I was just checking the Speedworld calendar and the Northern Arizona Shootout race in on Saturday, October 8th so maybe the 9th may not be such a good date after all. I'm thinking either the 2nd or the 16th. :D

You are right Gene, the 9th wasnt such a good idea, Potential IHRA race, definite PSCA race in Vegas that weekend, plus the Northern az Shootout. And the 16th is already booked at speedworld. So in the other thread I chose Oct 2nd for the meet. I guess Since I didnt really decide the day, it was dictated to me by outside events, then it wont rain because I didnt get to choose it.

The Speedworld calendar lists the 16th as just a Sunday Challenge?

Yes But I wanted to reserve the Club Lanes. THey have a club booked for the 16th. the 2nd and 9th were open. You can still do the Sunday challenge but if you are with the club you also get to run in the club lanes. Just makes it easier to pair up with who you want and potentially run our bracket series if we want.

Hmmm...I guess that I will have to borrow my son's go-cart then. I didn't realize I had to have something to race.

If you bring the go cart then I want to drive it too. I dont think I'll have time to change my fuel filter before october so i'll need something to race also.

Seriously...if you need me to come over and help with the fuel filter I could probably do that...we don't want you to get all stressed out over it...I know these things can be quite taxing for you.
