So I have a question is there any companies out there in the United States that sell headers for a i-6 250 that will not charge me $1,500.

So I have a question is there any companies out there in the United States that sell headers for a i-6 250 that will not charge me $1,500.

The 250 Header needs very different bends to clear the SBF 302 V8 bellhouse , Starter and C4/Toploader clearance and mounts.

The Ford small block six 250 (4.1l) is a factory stroked version of the Falcon/Mustang 200 (3.3l). Adding almost 1" to the crank throws and raising block height almost 2".

The 250 Maverick needs a tube set unique to the 250 (4.1L) AND fit the Maverick. The Ford 200 has many manufacturers of inexpensive headers. Modifications to 200 app' headers are possible but unique Maverick application is unusual and limited.

Only proven - Maverick application for 250 4.1L - Headers i've found are the Hooker #6601 Super'Comps 'Long Tube' .
The more common Hooker 6602 fits the Ford small block 200 from 60's through 80's.

Hooker 6601's on small block 250' and set Hooker 6602' for 200 3.3L applications. 6601 is Maverick application circa early 70's.

Build a log and install a t3 turbo flange. Just thinking out loud. On the post about the tubes being tight. Beat the tubes.

I had a set on mine for years. Dual outlet. They never met a speed bump that they did not want to drag themself across. I got them from Clifford Research. I don't see them on the site anymore, but you might contact them and see if they can help.

I got the 170/200 header that was modified by extending the collector a few inches and re-clocked flange to clear the 250 bellhousing.

That looks like mid '60s Falcon, Fairlane, Comet steering.

Maverick/Comet has better steering linkage configuration.
