Is that what those things are?? I had some in a box of stuff I bought years ago from a guy that had a house full of Maverick parts, I'll have to look around for them.

Craig shipped them out with some other stuff I bought so he practically gave them to me as well ... (y) They are quite a bit larger than I expected .. and probably weight about 2lbs each ...

The Red Grabber with White interior that I parted out with Dave a while back had them on it also ... the undercarriage of the car was so rusted I wasn't even gonna attempt to pull them off ....

The dealer is supposed to remove them ... but for the Ford restorers that want thier restorations to look like it rolled off the assembly-line and not off the dealers lot they are put back on ...

All Ford cars (including Mavericks) that used the tie-down had these from the factory ...

    I think I have a few of them...If I didn`t throw them away a couple years ago.

I`ll check and If I have any I`ll take a little less than $500.00 for them!

Also ... once Mavericks went to big bumpers ... no more tie-downs. The holes are no longer in the frame to mount them on 74 and up cars ....

I don't know, my '73 is 100 miles from here in a dark field in the middle of no where. I'll check next time I go up there. The one's on my '72 appear to be pretty much the same as you have pictured.

edit: opps, wrong user name! I'm on my brother's computer. :slap:
