Sorry if this has been beaten to death but I have not seen a specific answer in my limited searching. I am in the process of trying to determine a direction for a drivetrain since mine is missing. Car was formerly a 200/c4. It is my understanding that the Granada/Monarch/Versailles are essentially the same. I’m thinking if I can find a donor it will at least provide the front disc brakes and 5 lug rear end. Bonus would be if it is a v8 car but there lies my question. Are the Granada frame mounts, exhaust manifolds, and oil pan the same so they would swap over? If they are, this seems like a good way to get all the upgrades at once for a good price. It seems in my area that v8 mavericks are made of gold. If the Granada stuff does not interchange, I may look at other non conventional in-line 6 options as it looks like the maverick specific mounts through vendors are close to $200 and I would still need to source all the other parts needed for the swap. Thanks in advance for any guidance.

1975-1980 Ford Granada, Monarch/Versailles was based on (1960 design) Falcon/Mustang/Comet/Maverick. 'Second generation' 81-82 was drastically redesigned to 'Fox Body' platform of the Fairmont/Mustang/Zephyr/Cougar. Discontinued by '83 the platform continued as Ford LTD thru '86. (different than full size LTD Crown Vic).

many minor bolt-on mechanical parts interchange with Maverick but major parts like axles, suspension and body parts are different dimensionally. Granada swap front spindles for 5 lug discs are an exception and could work ... .

Most of Granada is similar to Maverick. While I don't know all differences, I'd suspect most can be used/adapted. All the front suspension is exactly same, control arms, spindles etc(I've verified this). Brakes are a common swap. Steering box same, drag link a little longer. Engine bay of Granada slightly wider, so motor mounting is likely different.

Well, I guess there goes that idea. It’s looking like plan B will be seeing if I can stuff a Vortec 4200 in there. Yeah, I know it’s not ford but they are everywhere, kinda cheap, and have up to 290 hp. For brakes may as well consider the auto Kraft kit. Seems to be a good value for a cruiser.

Granada front disc brakes are an easy swap, but if your wheels are big enough, better brakes are available from the after-market...
