Mine has the "everchanging custom calico paint"! Other than that, it is kinda special because my wife's great grandmother bought it new in 1973 and drove it for the remaining years of her life. Then I "inherited" it and kept it in the family. Otherwise, I would have looked for a chevelle, or something that you can easily get new parts for. I also have all of the original paperwork that came with the car.
the most unique thing about you and that car is that a 15 year old wants an old maverick instead of a new camaro or mustang
ya that was my dads first car too so he always talked about it and showed me pictures of it and then one day we came across one on the side of the road (mine) and as soon as I saw it I new I had to have it! And there MUCH better then a newer mustang or Camaro because its so much more unique and different
My son just turned 16, and he doesn't want something new. He has no preference for brands though, but he generally prefers 75+ GM H-bodies over the Maverick...
I think it's a safe bet I have the only turbo Inline 6 four door in my province at the very least. Even if it is still up on jackstands, it counts!
bought mine a few years ago at the age of 21 with ghost flames! and have yet to see another comet or maverick at any car show in the area!
