I have two clusters, one with a 100 MPH speedo, and one with a 120 MPH speedo.
    my car is a 74 2 door. I also had a 73 4 door parts car.
any idea which is the correct cluster for the 74??

I think '75 was the first year for the 100mph speedo in these cars. I had a '75 Comet that had a 100mph speedo...

The indicators on the left side are what I’m trying to match up more than anything.
Not convinced that all the circuits work anymore.
I have checked and all the bulbs are functioning.

I'm looking for a Dash Cluster for my 1973 Maverick 2 Door. Cluster was damaged when I bought it.

Yeah mine on my 73 Ford Maverick was damaged when I purchased it but it says 120 mph but the speedometer just doesn't move or work I've tried everything even to rewire everything but it just doesn't even want to work at all. I guess an indicator that it doesn't work is because not even the cluster gauge lights come on so that tells me that it probably dead probably shorted out somebody probably hooked it up wrong in the past

So the whole cluster is out, not just the speedo huh?
Have you tried turning the gear on the back of the speedo manually? Give it a spin and it should move. If it moves, Could be the cable between trans and speedo is broke?

Have you replaced the speedometer cable? What about the light bulbs in the cluster? What exactly did you "rewire"?...

None of the wiring has any effect on speedo operation, purely mechanical. As already mentioned, usually broken cable or maybe driven gear in transmission..

I have a cluster to sell with a MeterMatch calibration box to dial in the fuel gauge accurately. The stupid factory 5 volt regulator for the fuel gauge crapped out. The MeterMatch has a built-in voltage regulator.

Speedometer was rebuilt 2 years ago.
