    I’m going to make an attempt as resurrecting this because I’ve been really thinking about how to Ls swap with the factory suspension parts.

    Yes Frank’s build thread is AMAZING, but what about the average guy? Even an RC-107 kit is expensive as he**.

    The biggest problem I see is the fact that all comet/maverick oil pans are front sump. After some quick and not-so-precise measurements, it looks like there is the potential for an Ls engine to fit with a 04-06 GTO oil pan. They’re front sump pans. IF that allowed it to fit and after shaving the shock towers, all you’d need is custom motor mounts.

    Just out of curiosity, what is the cost to completely rebuild the front suspension on these vehicles? I’m guessing that’s another consideration towards the aftermarket parts.
