    Good evening,

I installed new upper and lower control arms on the passenger side of my 76 today.

The lower control arm bushing is pressed so that it is approximately 3/4" exposed to the rear of the vehicle, almost flush on the front.

The original arm I removed was centered.

I looked for new lower control arms online, and they all had the bushing offset like my new one, oddly both left AND right are the same part number. This puts the control arm forward on the passenger side and rearward on the driver's side.

This doesn't seem right. Any input?

    Thank you.
    Jim P.

Hey, Jim P....I don't have the answers you are seeking, but that seems odd...someone with more savvy will eventually help you or add to the confusion...

It looks like it wasn't pressed in to center from the manufacturer. They do move, just center it. Having access to a hydraulic press here would be nice.

I replaced the driver's side last fall. I had to get some welding done on the passenger side and I just got to the suspension on this side.
