Does anyone know of an aftermarket hood that will fit the maverick that has the '71 -'73 mustang/aus.falcon hood scoops? Or and do you know if they are the same width as a maverick hood? I know they have to be longer, but I could always hack off the back? Or reskin a maverick hood frame?
I have a grabber hood on one of my cars, was looking for the mach1 nasa style hood or if anyone has tried to make one work. The falcon XB's had it as well as the 71-73 mustang wondering how far off the width is. I guess I will have to find someone with a mustang to find out.
I have both - but neither one are in the same place and neither one are near me. I'll have to remember to take measurements the next time I am with my Mach 1.
I'd think you'd need to find a fiberglass hood for a Fox body Mustang that has the Mach 1 scoops and fiberglass Maverick hood. Cut them up and mate the parts. Probably more trouble than it would be worth. It would take a lot of work.
