    Couple of comments questions:

Does anyone, has anyone seen or have the very few produced 1977 Maverick Police Edition vehicles.....and does anyone actually have or now where to find the actual "specs" on these cars?

Also, I have a 1977 Maverick, Sprt Edition...she has American Racing Mags on her with a "5 bolt" system....did they come with 5 bolts wheel mounting in "77".

    Thanks.

5 Bolt was standard in 77. As for a police car, I havent seen one. I want to build one though. The police cars were not very popula with the patrolmen of the era, over weight and underpowered, kinda like the cops of today. Not trying to offened any police we have on this forum, just pulling a leg.

Thanks for the reply. I also would like to build a "Police Edition - Clone", but I can't find a site that actually notes what the PE came with. I seen that they had some beefed up suspension offered but I would like to see the entire specs sheet.......I know a friend of mine just purchased a 75 all black Maverick with a 303 in it and it has the "Interceptor" stripes on it...got it from Chuck at the "Maverickconnection"., smooth car.....later

I can't remember what motor they had, i seem to remember that they had 250's. Paint was black with white doors. Bend, Oregon or Burns, Oregon had them, from what my parents tell me.

I was curious where Chuck's car ended up. He didn't have a car at the MCCI Roundup Nationals, and he told me he sold it. Very nice car...I hope to see it again. (y)

Now thats what I'm talkin about! As a retired, currently still holding my Deputy Sheriff Commission I would love to have one of them. Looks like I will be looking for a 4 dr. Maverick to "clone" out....would really like to find an old Police Edition.......would like to talk to Wes and find out where he found her, or what he had to do to make it appear as a Police Edition....thanks for the pics and lead.

Wes' car was a tribute....not a true Police car. That car originally belonged to Doug Bauer and looked like this:

Pretty cool. I still would like to get the "specs" that actually show what the Ford Maverick Police Edition came with, you know the suspension, engine options and whatever else.....Does the brochure shown above have all that information? If so, are there any brochures around? I really would like to see an orginal one, car that is......I think I just may be looking for a 4 dr. to "clone" out, thanks for all the replies.

Opps.....I don't have the Police package brochure. What I have in the Taxi Cab brochure. I would imagine a lot of the options are the same for a Police package.

I will post the info in another thread.
