mustang fuel sending unit for a maverick

hello ,

has anyone used any particular year mustang fuel sending unit for a 1970 maverick? I am asking because i would like to convert my maverick to holley fuel injection and would like to use the in tank pump assembly . They do not list them for mavericks but they do for the mustangs . Wondering if anyone has used a mustang fuel sending unit for a stock maverick and what year .

this is the one I use with my EFI.

 

The '70 tank was a one year only deal. Don't know if the sending units are different on later years or not. The kit Frank describes comes with 3 different float arms, maybe one of them will work with your '70 tank. I've been looking at using the same pump for my FiTech EFI but I have a Mustang tank installed so it will be easy for me.

 

I happened upon a page on CJ Pony Parts site that specified which Mustang parts of which year will cross over to which year Mavericks. Very interesting info.
