mustang gas tank swap

    :confused: Hi all

    I has been experiencing some leaking problems on my gas tank. So I decided to change it. A friend is giving me his tank. It is from a 69 mustang. do you know if I can place this tank with minor changes into my car? Externally it looks like mine.

    Original 72 Sprint Owner, 71 Comet GT, 57 Ranchwagon, 57 4 dr Wagon
    The mustang tank will fit but with some modifications. Check out this link and see what it takes. The 69 and up tanks are larger than the one I used and I believe Pony Doc was the one who said the only difference is that the straps do not need to be shortened.
