Well I THINK the last part was removed today, this monumental event occurred at 3:21 PM EDT... Also I believe I removed the last of that Mississippi mud that was caked on everything...

Planning on spraying the remainder of the engine compartment tonight after it's cleaned up a bit more...

    OK...

A few parts found their way home today, installed steering sector & motor mount adapters. Still trying to determine best refinish for the brake lines...

Are the brakes lines new? Por15 makes a real nice silver, that looks like bare metal, or there is another thing called Rust Prevention Magic, it's like a paste you put on bare metal, that stops and rust.

    Thanks guys...

Brake lines are orig with almost zero rust, used wire wheel to knock off some old undercoat and shine them up a bit... Guess I could just clear them but don't like the "glossy" look... Sooo think I'm gonna try gloss clear and then a light coat of satin clear to knock down the shiney... Second possibility is stainless steel paint that I also have, there's a coat on the top cover of the steering box...

Eastwood Diamond Clear is a "non-shiney" clear. Used it on all my hardware/bolts on my car.

Thanks Paul but I'm sure yours will probably better... I won't do a lot to the underside as it's only intended to be a driver and defiantly not a full blown show car...

I did install the brake lines and after trying different things Brian and I had on hand, decided to go with Duplicolor Chrome paint... Like all rattle can paint that's supposedly chrome but really isn't, it does look good on the lines, gives a similar appearance to new steel tubing... It's a little shiner than the camera shows, still I'm pleased with it... Tried the satin clear as a top coat but it turned absolutely battle ship grey, had to strip and repaint the line I tried that on...

The lines were a real PITA to re-install and make fit even so-so, but originally they were lopped on top of one another, so I quit while I was ahead...

Not much going on in the engine bay today but I did install a seal kit in the power steering cylinder... I've already rebuilt the P/S control valve, so now everything except the fairly new pump has been rebuilt or has a new replacement...

I did install both upper control arms and the spring in the left side... 'cept for maybe undercoating in the future, the undercarrage is mostly going to take care of itself...

Looks awesome. (Eastwood products are terrible, by the way).
