    Short back story:

My friend and his dad started this project when he was starting to get sick.
Now he has passed on we want to finish the job.

So it had a v6, than a 289. Now his father got a 302 he said it was out of a 1990 - 1999 ish motor and trans from a Ford expedition, his dad said it was the same as the mustang. It was running as a 289 Now I don't know what is needed to upgrade from a 289 to a 305. Car looks rust free mostly. I have not gotten to into the car. I will add a pic not sure what is what. I'm used to newer cars. so the electronics I will need help with.

In this pic i have circled the parts I have no clue what they are.

    Thanks in advanced..

A is what I have no clue about.

Welcome, you can find out everything you you need to know & more(yeah here it comes)

No Maverick ever had a V6 & Expeditions never used a 5.0... Explorers used a 5.0 from '96-'01 but the '97-up heads have a relocated spark plug so most headers/exhaust manifolds won't fit, plus Explorer headers won't fit Maverick(they are junk anyway)... Also the transmission is computer controlled(as well a engine), so without the original electronics or aftermarket controller the transmission will be dumb(in other words, won't shift)...

Not 100% on the wiring but normally the feed to headlight, horn, windshield washer and power feed to inside of vehicle are in that area... The starter relay & voltage regulator are same as on about any Ford vehicle from '65 to 85-ish..

As far as the V6.. I'm going off what i was told. Most of the parts were bought years ago. my first day into this was last night, I thought the Exp had a 5.4
