New fuel/gas cap by Dennis Carpenter.
This cap was copied from the 76-77 model deluxe cap. It has been redesigned to fit 70-77 Mavericks, this is a 2 ear design and will replace the 4 ear design caps. This redesign allows the word "Maverick" to be clocked centered at the 12 o'clock position when turned to the stop position. 20190611_120455.png
** Fits all except the 1970 California Emission equipped models**

Available at Melvins Classic Ford Parts as well as Dennis Carpenters website.
    Priced at $129.95

Very nice! Sure beats having to run an old beat up cap or a plain old parts store replacement.

If the quality is on par with other Dennis Carpenter repos the price is spot on!

I was wondering if the quality of the display was going to be nice as a NOS cap. Nice to see this come out and at a decent price imo.

Dennis Carpenter was sold out, ordered from Melvin’s. Hoping for the best.

    Nice!

I didn't see any of them at Dennis Carpenter's display at Carlisle last week. If they would have had them we would have most likely bought one or two of them.

Looks awesome! Does it happen to be the locking (cable) style?

They are not from what I have been told. I wish they were. But, at least if this one gets stolen while the car is parked it would not be as painful as loosing a real one.

There was a misfire on this one...the picture is of the cap sample, and they are shipping, but they were not in stock as we thought. We can take pre-orders on these, but these are not ready to ship as of now.

This reproduction is a vented cap, with no locking cable attached.
