Dynacorn has released the reproduction rear valance for the 70-72 Maverick, also fits 71-72 Comet.
This item will fit 73 models but will require drilling holes along the top of the valance to align with existing holes on rear of vehicle.

And they have them with exhaust cutouts, too! :bananaman:
EDIT: The ones with cutouts are actually Mustang pieces.

Yeah, I've been debating doing that, too. I have some nice stainless rectangular tips.

Sorry for the thread jack, but what are those tailights from?? They are similar to caprice's but with a spot for reverse lights

Those were made by me, after seeing someone else(forgot who)make them on this site. They are built from 3 Maverick tailights on each side, cut apart and reassembled. Thanks!!

35 years ago, this was the first thing I destroyed on my car. Just a simple U turn on the side of the road. I'm surprised that it took so long. So many cars seem to have trashed them. Thanks Dynacorn.

Suggestion: They ought to just punch the extra holes and they could be advertised to fit each of those model years.

Looks like only 2 holes would need to be drilled for the '73. Is that correct?

Correct,... only the hole on each outer end would need to be made for the valance to fit a 73. Center to Center, the hole needs to be relocated exactly 2" over toward the outer edge.

Any issues putting this piece on a 74 that has a small bumper swap? I assume I'd just have to drill a couple holes?

You will have to drill all the holes across the top as well as a hole on each side of the lower quarter panel where the pictured hardware goes to pull the bottom of the valance up tight against the body. Thats assuming the reproduction panel has the brackets for them.
