I'm painting mine. When it quits spraying, I'll refill it. I'm also making SS attachment ears and mounting them with a blind rivet sealed with silicone. I'll leave the $300 reservoirs to the concourse guys. I would trade a lot of this re-pop stuff for a quality small front bumper. Can't believe they are re-popping Grabber hoods and someone cannot address the desperate shortage of a decent front bumper.....but I digress.
I've spoken to the manufacturer of this reservoir, here is what I was told..... these are in production and will be ready for shipment by the end of this month (December 2015). Virtually identical to the one used for 1969-1971 Fairlanes and Torinos.....hence.....they got made. The Fairlane/Torino version does not have a "guard/shield" around the bottom hose nipple like the Maverick one did. This repop has the "guard/shield".
69-71 Fairlane, Torino and Ranchero all carried the same part number as that used on the 70-77 Maverick and 71-77 Comet.
Ordered two washer reservoirs from Larry and picked them up last night at the boarder. Larry was very helpfull responded to e-mail questions quickly and shipped them out right away. Smooth transaction. It was late last night when I got home and only tried for 5mins. to remove the existing top off the old washer box. I could not get the old top off does anyone have tips on how to remove the top without damage, also any tips on pump removal would be welcomed.
The lids snap on similiar to that as a piece of tupperware.... the best method I have found is to turn the bottle upside-down and by using a wide blade screw driver, place the end of the screw driver formly against the reservoir on one of the corners...then push the black top/lid downward.... once a corner unsnaps you will find it easy to remove the rest of the way.
Thanks for picking mine up for me Mike! I can't wait to see it and get it installed in my engine compartment!
With such a tight top I hope it fits the repop. Zero room for error. I'll try to put the old top on the new box tonight.
