Pan filled c4 in 72 comet

    Anyone put c4 pan filled (large bell) in there comet? This is what i'm working on currently. Any clearence problem? Thought i'd ask before go any further.

    1972 Comet GT clone 306 . 1969 Fairlane Cobra 428CJ 1988 T-Bird awaiting 331 ..
    Should be OK, the AOD bell is approx same size but like AOD, 164T flexplate is required.

    Also the flexplate must match engine balance which changed for '80/'81.

    thats what im getting ready to put in my 70. A few in the facebook group said they put a pan filled in a 70. The 70 has a smaller tunnel, so if it can take one, the 72 should be fine.

    My 71 has a pan fill. It’s a little tight but really no problem at all.

    Got her in with motor attached today. No problemo at all. Did had work stoppage and had to make run to orielly' for correct transmission mount.
    I'm gonna do a backflip if an old driveshaft i took off my 70 mustang 10 years ago fits.

    Did you use the double hump transmission cross member to bolt the mount to? The V8 has two bends in it for dual exhaust. The i6 only has one side.

    My comet is a v8 car. Previous owner have dual exhaust installed so probally have double hump.
