    Chris,
It doesn't have to be done to the level I am doing it. But great results require lots of work. This is how I do all the cars that I paint for my friends as well.

    Dave,
Glad I can help with some insight and maybe even a little inspiration. I have received many pm's asking various questions from this forum and I enjoy taking the time to offer up some helpful information. To me that is what it is all about.

The one thing I have learned over the years, is that there are 100 different ways of doing things. This just happens to be my way. Others on here that do body work may have different ways, and that is cool. As long as the end result looks good, then it's all good. Right?!

yee-ouch.. been there many times myself too.

Best advice I can give is to get yourself a good movie(or 3).. drink plenty of water.. stay away from ANY caffiene to avoid dehydration(it's a natural diuretic).. and try some anti-inflammitories(ibuprofen or naproxen) to cut down on the nerve aggravation a bit.

A nice hot shower to loosen the old muscles(also a good time to cash in any accumulated gold stars towards a massage from caring hands too) after the anti-inflammitories kick in never seems to hurt recovery either.

Just take it easy and feel better. (y)

I still have not been able to get done what I would like to with this pain in my neck. But, last week I did get out and sand down the door shells after having them blasted. Hung them up and sprayed two coats of Epoxy on them.

Today I installed the NOS door skins on both doors. I love forward progress!

All these pictures are of the drivers door, but I also did the passenger door. Now it's time to sand it down, spray a couple coats of epoxy on the outside of the door, then do my bodywork.

Are you welding them on or using panel adhesive?

    i think it's adhesive..i wouldn't try to weld that unless i had a spot welder..which i don't think he has either.

looks awesome though..doors with no surface rust on the inside..that's every man's dream.

3M 8115 Panel Bond. I believe it to be the best way as it is now completely sealed from both the inside and outside. No worries of any water or moisture getting in the seam.

I don't usually have the time during the week to go out and get work done in the garage. But tonight I went out for an hour to install the new pins and bushings in the hinges. While at it I bolted them on and then hung the door. No easy task all by yourself! I got it adjusted best I could for gaps. I can't worry too much about the front until I hang the fender. So far though, I am happy!
