WP_20160319_11_26_07_Pro.jpg Went on a pick for anothe Mav today.
T code with AC. Very rough but savable with a WP_20160319_11_27_50_Pro.jpg parts car.

VIN is plant code X St. Thomas Ontario, CA

also had a buck tag with a self tap bolt vs screw. Canada thing? WP_20160319_18_34_10_Pro.jpg WP_20160319_12_02_01_Pro.jpg

Was a fun pick and drive for this black stripe car.

Yep.. this guy should be commended for taking the extra time and effort to save them for himself and others to enjoy.. not to just make a quick buck off cutting em' up to build yours mine or whoevers car.

When you really think about it.. restoring any car is much more satisfying if youre not forced into killing off perfectly good cars just so your job is easier and cheaper to do. IMO, much more pride in that kind of resto.

I used to drive '60s cars as daily drivers up until about 1985. In California, they were everywhere in junk yards and they hadn't started to rust yet. Now, thirty years later, they are all rust buckets with missing parts. I have been out of the game for so long, the game is completely changed. What used to require a little overhaul now requires complete reconstruction, and So. Cal. is 1000 miles away. My hat is off to those that re-build these cars.....I have seen some beautiful ones around here.

    The
lock hole is ruined. Will need to be repaired from a donor. There were 40 + mavs in this yard and now they are all gone. Last one.

I was just passing through town and had limited tools. I must have taken 5 spoiler sets that day amongst a bunch of other stuff. He crushed all of them afterwards, except yours. Glad somebody is gonna save it

I may have to v8 this one, I do not have a good T-Code drive train available.
I will be using the hood to measure the 1970 paint stripes for a template. Thanks for the information!

Lots & lots of mirrors. Was a bummer about the bumpers though. All the cars got drug to the yard with a chain around the front bumper. That's why it's yanked out like it is

All Canadian cars got the body buck tag like you have pictured.

As keeper of the 1970 Maverick Grabber Registry, I have lots of correct pictures of the hood stripe as well as some measurements. Email me if you want them.
