I'm preparing to swap to the later Maverick / Comet filler neck and just realized the hole pattern to bolt it to the car doesn't match the '73 tube. I'll have to drill new holes in the flange. Anyone else run into this?

'73 tube is on the right. The holes in the unleaded tube on the left match if the flange was inverted. Was I sold a Maverick/Comet tube? Tapers towards the bottom and doesn't have the ridges on the curved section.

I seen the differences. Maverick and Comets are not the same. Mavericks have a screw at 12:00 and Comets are at 6:00

I have one with the top screw hole in the 12 o'clock position that I would be willing to trade for one with a screw hole in the bottom 6 o'clock position.
