Anyone know or have experience using Mustang equalizer bar mounts and bushings on a Maverick. Do they fit or work with the Maverick equilizer bar?

I checked into using the 67/68 stuff and it would tale alot of modifying to get them to work. It would be easier to go hydraulic or if you plan on going with a T5, go cable.

I shortened a 1966 bar. It didn't take much effort. You use the small bushings on the frame and block as opposed to the larger size the Maverick uses.

I'm going to cable though. I wouldn't spend time making mechanical linkage work again, too complicated and troublesome IMO.

I have all '66 Mustang linkage in my '70 w/ a T5. I cut and rewelded the lower arm of the eq bar but that was mostly to clear the headers and Lakewood bellhousing. I had to lengthen the pedal-to-eq bar push rod, about 3/4" I think (it's been 20 years and I didn't take notes).

The frame side bracket is the original '70 Maverick 6 cylinder bracket with the small Mustang bushing installed. The cylinder block stud, eq bar, eq bar-to-release fork rod, release fork and bellhousing are Mustang. For a little over 15 years I ran a '66 289 in the car, finally changed to a 302 around 1990, reusing as many parts as I could.
