Finished fiberglassing the lower dash where the glove box and fuse box covers were, primed and painted.

    I'm taking a bunch of pictures. (y)
I plan to go with the 71gold style crossmember...if it fits. If it doesn't fit, we will be welding up a crossmember to use as a pattern for a new jig to make the t5 crossmembers. Frank has the AOD, C4, TKO, '70 t5 but needs the 71-77 T5 jig...or that's the way I understood our conversation when we talked about it.

Picked up a few goodies I found on Craigslist. I grabbed a console and instrument panel from a 72 Torino, might use the console in the Mav and the gauges included a tach with all the other goodies...no idiot lights except the brake indicator. The guy also had a set of sport mirrors he thought were off a Maverick but it looks like they are Pinto. All the parts are in great shape and the investment was cheap enough.

I like that console. I used to be into 71-73 Mustangs and that looks similar.

Today I bought a set of Sprint Sport mirrors (my 72 Comet only has the drivers side mirror) and a good condition dash pad. The pad and cap in mine is split in a few spots, and I think it might be fixable but I'd hate to try, fail and then start looking for a replacement. So I will try, and re-sell this one if my effort pays off.

Pressure washed the pulleys and front engine accessory brackets, getting them ready for fresh paint...

ran it out of gas trying to put it in the garage and we did a compression check after resetting timing gear the compression got much better

figured out after a leak down test its time for a rebuild on the bottom end

finally the brakes are done!! Blead the brakes and put the rear wheels back on. Once the rains stop I can finish paintint the tranny lines and shocl tower gussets so I can put the car back donw on the ground and see how she sits with the 1 coil cut off the front springs. All I need to do is finish the wiring now and then she can fire up for the first time in almost 6 years!! :dancing:

I finally finished making a seat adapter that should hold my weight... the old ones started to tilt and twist the floor a bit... Also to hopefully give me a better seat position with my height.

Now I'm thinking about removing the back seat so I can treat my plastic rear quarter panels which are dry rotting (Arizona heat)

Picked up a nice set of wheel well trim from the junkyard for $15. They are cleaning up very nicely.
