What did you do to your Maverick or Comet today

    Started wire brushing the floorpans from the inside. Got a little rust protective primer sprayed onto the parts I cleaned.

    Took it for the very first drive.. About 25mins then a tow home :) oh so fun...valves were not adjusted that well causing some issues, guess ill try again in the moning and hopefully that's it.

    Took out the heater core and cleaned up a bunch of coolant in my carpet/floorboard..

    Got the back seat and rear quarter panels out now to repaint the panels and I need to figure out whether or not I want to put the back seats back in or do a seat delete...

    I took the set off of my Comet parts car. Not sure if I like the look of them on my 70 though. Still debating.

    Starting the process of going through extra parts I won't need and trying to convince myself to sell them. It's always been my weakness, I like parts!

    Here is one of things I got done last week. Changed my old "Harwood" fuel cell for a new aluminum one with roll over valve. Modified some new brackets to fit the cell in the same location.

    little depressing eh? pretty sure we got it all figured out, started wrenching at 8am, was done about 2pm..runs like a dream. sofar.
    my dad has BCAA so he drove to me and said it was him driving, got it towed...thing is the guy who came was the owner of the company..supposed to be a hour and a half wait but he heard whatt type of car it was and came in 15mins. super nice guy.

    Put in Scott's Rods aluminum door panels...................now just have to finish the rear quarters.

    Yes, he makes them and is also coming up with a "race car" style rear wing which looks really "Killer".
