On Monday I rebuilt the Autolite 2100D on my 302. Yesterday I diagnosed a misfire. Today, with the advice of other board members I was able to track down a vacuum leak and now the car is running better than when I bought it! :cheers2:

A little more progress today. All that's left is the roof, tail panel and both valences.

Do I start at the edges of the wrinkle and work in, or the center out. This was my first headliner.

Put a new drive shaft in my car today.....3/4" longer than the stock one. Car runs a lot better at upper speeds, but still has a little vibration. However, I think a good balance on the rear tires might be in order. I'm happy with the driveshaft, so now to do some cleanup and some long needed maintenance.

I would ask someone to help you. It is very easy to ruin a headliner with a heat gun if you have not done it before.

too hot will leave shiny spots, it takes the texture out of the material.

It also can melt right through, let the glue give away and let the seams separate. I saw this more than once and repaired these problems when I had my Upholstery shop years ago.

I was lucky with the headliner I put in my GTO, no wrinkles! It was my first and only headliner, such a pain that I will gladly pay someone to install it in the Mav.

I guess I'll use low heat and a very slow application of it. I thought the sail areas were going to be the real problem. They came out pretty good. I think the new quarter window seals were harder than the headliner. Those were a real pain.

Picked up the new windshield this week. Hopefully putting it in sometime this week.

Cut the old pins out of two worn door hinges in preparation for another trip to Marvin the sandblaster.

I used a hair dryer instead of a heat gun when I installed mine. I started from the middle rear and worked my way forward. I went to Office Depot and bought a bunch of the metal clips to hold the headliner in place. I'd pull the headliner and set it with the clips then would come back to it if it needed to be pulled some more.

For glue I used a product from DAP in a red can, weldwood the original. I let this sit for a couple days and kept the headliner in place with the black clips in combination with wind lace. Good luck
