Pull the dash and pressure wash. It looks like you have everything else out of there already.

It is gutted, I still have a few more things on my agenda before I roll it out and was the crap out of it. I still need to remove the mouse nest condo that's often referred to as a headliner.

Painted a set of body color boomerangs to replace the pitted and cracked chrome ones. Maybe see about getting them rechromed later on, if I like the chrome better.

Pulled the water pump, (250, 6 cyl.) took it up to my local NAPA store for a replacement. Not only did they not have one in stock, but also not in any of the distributors they use. They don't think they can get one before sometime next week! They suggested I check with Autozone. Guy at Autozone says; "Nope, we usually get those from NAPA."

So we're down for the time being.

Spent the last 2 days fighting that !#$%^ March serpentine drive. The combination of an aftermarket high volume water pump, aftermarket balancer, Gen 1 alternator and GM Gen 2 Saginaw PS pump have made for a mess where nothing lines up. Have to go to Tractor Supply tomorrow to get a couple bags of washers and bolts to shim up everything to try to get belt alignment. :grumpy:

Sat in it for like 10 minutes debating where I'd like to put the tachometer.

Let me know your thoughts. This is one of my top 10 questions right now. I was thinking the drivers side window column, but maybe too much for a Maverick?!?!

Nice catch. A goal for me! Here is my odometer, but maybe I cheated (intent met, it's all new). I think I'm off a cog on the tens, and that will haunt me for the rest of my life.

Just changed the boomerangs from chrome to body color, and I think I like them better. I'll wear them a while to see how it suits me.
