Got my aluminum heads and air gap manifold on, and the front end raised up 2". Ran the engine and found I have a small leak in the middle of my aluminum radiator. :slap: Now I have to get through to the radiator dealer I bought it through to get it warrantied.

Order new fuel level gauge from AutoMeter. Going to use this quarantine time to my advantage.

With radiator it’s approximate 6.5” thick the fan it’s self is 4” thick. It just barely fits into the engine bay and misses the pulleys. I mocked it up in one of my parts cars. It’s the flex a lite Black magic 188 (or 180 same fan) fan it’s a single speed 3300cfm fan with a current draw of 18 amps. This thing really draws some air! It looks nicer than my current set up so I thought I would upgrade.

Amazon had a mistake in their pricing and I got it for $60 instead of the $220 it normally retails for.

I originally had that kind of thick rad and 3 core Champion alum rad, could not get the fan motor center front of pulley. I Wound up getting Flex-A-Lite thin and mounting motor off to pass side. I paid much more than $60.00 that was a great deal. Was it used? My fan draws 18amp does a good job as long as AC not running in 90+ heat idiling. I been tempted to go Taraus type but just never got around to it. I suppose in my area it's not hot long enough too force me to change.
I have engine temps going 235 in most extremes.

I was able to get it fit! I am actually running a 2 core, but man was it a fight. I had to trim the shroud down about 1/4 of an inch then put back on the gasket. It then hit the frame a bit on the bottom so had to notch my frame a bit. Finally it went in. There was several hours of being annoyed and many many curse words.

It was brand new, unfortunately when I got it the box was ripped in transport and the controller was missing. Amazon gave me some money off on it, it was originally listed at around $100.

Pix 1111 is the mockup process, 881 is what I have at present. The difference in the fan motor centering on the radiator/coolant pump may be I have a V -belt setup, you have serpentine -- pumps probably different lengths.

I have an aftermarket pump (stock length snout) but it is standard rotation. You are also running a 3 core this is a 2 core. There is about 1/4” difference between the two.

You have to trim the upper shroud for the radiator hose and the bottom hose clears with out trimming. You do have to trim the shroud 1/4” total to get about 1/2” clearance from the water pump. You could run a 3 core but it will be very tight.
